"Beyond The Color Yellow"
Just around the corner grows a juvenile illyarie (erythrocorys) - an ornamental tree with beautiful yellow blossoms - it brings back memories of our beautiful native garden we once created in South Australia..where we grew just one which draped itself over an old wagon full of geraniums we had put onto the property.
The little white bud-caps on the tree, will eventually be brilliant red bud caps. It's always been a favorite of ours - it's a gentle tree, sometimes gangly in shape, drooping to the ground, sometimes leaning over as I've stated above, or standing regal and upright.
It grows 8-9 metres tall and appears to prefer the company of other trees or shrubs close-by. Probably for shelter or support.
The flowers are sometimes much larger, and probably more so in Western Australia where I'm told it grows abundantly inland.
