Old Friends

Some friends of our son and their children, who also live in Taiwan,  happen to be staying with their grandparents for a while, and the grandparents live only about 18 miles away from us in Devon, so Mummy and children joined us for a barbecue this afternoon (Dad is still in Taiwan until later in the month).
The children had their own private table under the shade of a tree, and their servants duly served them with food and water until they were bursting - they then played in the paddling pool and garden (the children, not the servants, although I did sit with my feet in the water for an hour this evening). 
It's a long time since we had a garden full of children, and it was lovely to have them here.
