First flower

Almost four years ago, we planted a magnolia in the garden here. We came back from Menorca today to its first ever flower. I'd say worth the wait.
An early morning (6am) taxi took us on our way and despite a French air traffic controllers strike, all went to plan, apart from sitting in traffic for an hour near Arles. An IKEA and Lidl shop provided a break to the journey. 
We got home to DS#2 and nine of his friends (Bath engineers bar one) in residence and ate a decent barbecue with them.
