Large Red Damselfly

Everywhere seems so quiet at the moment and I can only think it's because people are staying home, either to enjoy the hot weather or because the hot weather is proving to be too hot to handle.  I'm determined not to complain about the heat and for the main part I enjoy it but the last couple of days I have to say I feel as if I'm slowly wilting away.  I went out after lunch which I suppose wasn't the best time but I was soon back home again; I saw, blue and red dragonflies and the very large type too,, however they were scooting up and down the water so quickly that no-way could I have captured them but they're so lovely to see.
