Mornings Only

After midday, it's too hot to be outdoors, even for butterflies. It's still 31c in the back garden at gone 5pm. All those Brisbane summers have proved to be good training. But no rain in sight for the next couple of weeks at least.

It's strange to have a whole day without tennis or football. More Wimbledon tomorrow and football semis on Wednesday! Woohoo!

This welcome visitor is a Small White (Pieris rapae) appropriately feeding from my butterfly bush (buddleia).
