Rose of England

We are not great football fans but of course we watched the game this afternoon and of course we were delighted at the result. Too hot to do much other than watch tv anyway.
These two lovely blooms are on one of the bushes that was here when we moved in more than fifty years ago. It is one of the few that is in flower at the moment. It is a very healthy plant so I am sure it will be with us for many years to come.
I did my gardening early this morning while it was still relatively cool. I haven't done anything useful since!
