This youngster is learning the ropes

The parent blackbirds appear to be attentive to their young shooing off all others. John has spotted a nest in the shambles of the clematis Montana, this morning their chirpy calls echoed around the garden.

When little grey cat appears Mr BB warns us all, I thank him, it means I catch glimpses of her eating. John thinks I’m becoming obsessed with her, he’s not wrong.

For my garden record:
Plant Life tell me today is National Meadow day,
co incidentally we have just scatted wild flower seed over a small area. Yesterday I removed the turf/moss, weeded, raked and this morning after the scattering covered with fine netting to prevent the garden birds feasting. Rain is forecast ......
