Feeling strangely fine

The day improves from a very groggy start. By the evening I’m in reasonable shape.

Late in the day I set about the admin and personal finance backlog which illness prevented me from processing earlier in the week. I’m desperate to put it all behind me before we leave for our summer break. The only item of note is a VAT demand from DHL for a load of mobile phone chargers imported by an organisation with a very similar name to ours. I send it back to DHL with an explanatory note, pointing out their mistake. I also get in touch with the outfit that imported the goods, alerting them to our trademarks and potential for confusion. It appears they’re not officially registered as a business in Norway, but are trading as one. I can’t help thinking they’re about to get into trouble for not following the rules, especially on VAT.

At 11 pm, the kids having aborted their sleepover in Jacob’s room, we find ourselves in the hammock, where we gently rock, and listen to the rustling poplar trees.
