A Zen Moment at the Pond

Dear Diary,

Our heat wave continues.  Everything is still with it.  Even my chipmunks are staying underground where it is cooler.  This moment of calm is at my little pond.  Not a fish jumped to break the stillness of the water.

I felt this had a very Zen feeling to it.  The shapes and lines in a gentle rhythm dotted here and there with tiny water bugs resting on the surface and can you see the little dragonfly resting on a stem perfectly mirrored in the still water?  Nothing seems to want to move...myself included.
