Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
We headed home from Norfolk via Coningsby and a visit to see the Visitors Centre. When we visited in June last year the Lancaster was missing, as it was down at Duxford for specialist work, but was back today.
This is the first time that I have seen it on the ground and it appears so much bigger than when in the air. The aircraft in the flight will take part in the massive fly past in London next Tuesday.
The guides are so well informed and have an endless supply of stories.
From there we crossed Digby Fen to visit the patchwork material shop for some more material for my Art Deco quilt. I was running low on one of the materials that I am using and was please to find that they still had some.
Finally home via the supermarket to get the weekly shop,
It's good to be home. It has been an interesting and most enjoyable few days away, but we are now ready to get on with more "things".
