Costa del Brighton
It was a strange morning weatherwise, it was very misty over the fields yet within an hour the sun had started to burn through, but a mile down the road at the coast it was still misty in patches at 1pm.
I'd agreed to work an extra shift this afternoon/evening, so went for a swim this morning and then met Alison in the gym cafe for a smoothie and a catch up before I had to go and get ready for work. I'd left a baked potato cooking in the oven for my lunch and had it with the left over moussaka sat in the garden. I always tend to have a bigger lunch when I'm working the late shift, because it's about 8.45pm when I get home.
I hadn't taken any photos today, but on the way home I could see the sun starting to set, so we stopped at a high point in Saltdean so I could take some photos. I think this one looks quite tropical, and I've added a few others to my extras.
I was very pleased to receive a text message from Xena, the Belgian girl from yesterday. It said 'Thank you for your support yesterday. I couldn't have gone through the day without you two'. How lovely was that? Anyway, we've been in contact throughout the day today - she said that she had spoken to the language school about moving out, but they won't allow it and said if she does go, she won't be able to attend her classes! I think it's absolutely appalling, but there's not a lot she can do. Anyway, I've told her that if she has any problems, she can call me, and she's going to come to us for dinner on Monday night. She said that when she comes next year she'd like to stay with us, so I thought it was a good idea for her to come and meet Alan, see where we live and then she can make her mind up if she'd like to come to us next year.
