Today was the first day that I wasn't sure which blip to use!

After work, I went to Matt Haig's book launch of 'Notes on a Nervous Planet'.  I took loads of photos of the beautiful Shakespeare Hall, the sculptures and the stained glass at Central Library and assumed I was done for the day, or so I thought!

When I got off the bus there was a pop up art installation in front of the main University building with the most amazing portraits.  Since I wasn't just getting from A to B and had taken the time to stop and look at the pictures, a lady who used to work on reception in my building spotted me and we had a lovely chat for half an hour.  Previously I would have just looked at the pictures out of the corner of my eye and carried on as I'd be wanting to get back home.

I was 'almost' back at my car when I saw a new sculpture from the 'Bee in the City' project which had just been installed in the beautiful old quad at the University.  There will be over 100 bees waiting to be discovered across the city, each designed by an artist to celebrate a different aspect of Manchester.

I lay on the floor to take this photo and the two University security guards came over to check I was ok and then they stopped to chat about the Bee in the City project.  From Day 1 to 20, I've had 4 separate conversations that all came about because I was blipping at the time.  Social interaction has become an amazing side effect!

Quote for today:
We're all potatoes pretending we're crisps.
- Matt Haig

This quote came up in the discussion with Matt Haig about how we edit ourselves to produce the best version of our life on Facebook, Instagram etc.
