Brockhole

Today's the day ……………………….. to paddle

It's a long time since I took my shoes off and went for a paddle in Windermere - but that's what I did today - just to keep Dominic company, of course.

We took him to the Lake District National Park Activity Centre at Brockhole on Windermere.  It's many years since we had been there and it had changed out of all recognition.  There are now a million and one things to do - including a spectacular zip wire, tree-top nets and one of the best adventure playgrounds for little ones that I have seen in a while.

And while Dominic had fun in there (see extra), he was perfectly happy pottering about at the edge of the lake.  He spotted some tiny little fish and he was in a world of his own ……………………….
