I am not ashamed to say that I am a sucker for a musical. I have had the best afternoon with Sara and Lou at the at the Winter Gardens watching Starlight Express. The cast did an amazing job of rousing a half empty Opera House on a rainy Blackpool afternoon. The music, costumes and lighting were exceptional.

I used to work behind the bars in the Winter Gardens 30 years ago and was reminded that I was pulling a pint at a particularly busy bar one night when I sneezed and the fastener on my skirt gave way allowing it to fall to the floor ! I was more securely attired today :)
