C*** in Covent Garden

I've had a lovely day today.

I went to the Final Dress Rehearsal of "L'Elisir d'Amore", at Covent Garden. I met up with two great friends and then went for an Italian meal afterwards.

This photo was taken from the Amphitheatre Terrace, overlooking Covent Garden. The other photo I took actually had a C** tree - and it's still only the beginning of November.

I've been a fan of the French tenor, Roberto Alagna, for well over 20 years. In this lively and silly role of Nemorino, he looked and behaved a good 20 years younger than his chronological age !!! Marvellous - and so were the rest of the cast.

Going to the rehearsals is wonderfully atmospheric - and for the princely sum of either £13 or £5 is money well spent :-)
