Happy 4th!

Independence Day here in the USA.  I stayed up late in the hopes of being able to photograph the big fireworks extravaganza on the Esplanade from the safety of our apartment (I just don't do crowds!), but unfortunately they were too far off to the left to see! 

Nonetheless, I did manage to capture some fireworks earlier in the evening across the harbour in Hingham.  Also:  Mr. W and Ronnie -- one of the wonderful people who man the front desk in our lobby -- getting into the spirit of things earlier in the day, a surprise visitor spied from the kitchen window this afternoon -- the Queen Mary 2 docked, enjoying a flyover by another British visitor, Virgin Atlantic, and a patriotic fan Mr. W brought me from the selection of "goodies" available in the afore-mentioned lobby.  It came in handy on this hot summer day!
