Haymaking

This evening we took a walk up onto Heworth Stray to be greeted by the sight of farm machinery busy gathering the hay now that the area has been cut. There was the machine raking the hay into linear heaps then another, pictured, which was collecting it and forming into big round bales, then a third lifting the bales and placing them onto a trailer. Very unusual sight in York!
