Lindisfarne

The tide times were propitious, so we had an outing to Lindisfarne. It proved to be the coldest day of our holiday, and we were glad to take shelter for afternoon cake and coffee in Pilgrims Coffee House (recommended!).

My picture is a view from the beach looking south, and Bamburgh Castle is just visible in the distance. I may have exaggerated the cloud a bit, but that's how it felt.
