Movember clean up

A bunch of us were down at Museum of Costume today giving it the winter clean and tidy up, before putting it to bed for the season.

We have two different types of vacuum... the ghostbuster style back pack for cleaning all the hard to reach places, and the little variable suction museum vacs for careful cleaning of fabrics and costume. The technique is to use a very soft brush to carefully flick the dust into the nozzle of the vac, without applying any suction directly to the objects as this could damage delicate fibres....

I thought it seemed appropriate that this chap was getting a clean, and sprucing up his 'tash ready for Movember
