St Paul’s Covent Garden

An afternoon of map shopping in Stanford’s and a wander round the Nat Gallery and then on to the SouthBank for tonight’s film .

This is one of my favourite places in London - a very quiet churchyard right in the middle of a noisy busy Covent Garden - plenty of benches -just right to sit down and rest .
This is known as the actors’ church with lots of memorials of famous actors and actresses. The ashes of the famous Victorian actress Dame Ellen Terry (she was the first actress to be made a Dame )
are in the church .
