Fragile flora
My chilli plant is finally blooming again (after dying a while back!). I love the way the flowers face toward the earth, giving them a very sombre ambience rather than being a prototypically happy flower.
Tech: Very high contrast to emphasise the flower as the photo is fairly cluttered, I'm still getting used to ye olde digital ISO being useless. I did try it without the big black stalk, but somehow, the flower being a bit hidden made it look a bit more vulnerable, which is the challenge I was trying to beat. It was taken on a cheap Tamron lens. Sharpness is a real let-down on this thing.
