Dark & light

This was taken on Luskentyre beach in Harris, Scotland, one of the best beaches I have ever visted. I love this location because of the dramatic light, and the way in which the light transforms every few minutes so you never know what to expect.

I like this photo because of the contrast between dark and light - the bright sun protruding through the black moody clouds, and the sunbeams creating a dramatic, almost theatrical spotlight on the silhouette of Taransay Island on the horizon.
