Already?!

Blackberries at the very beginning of July?! Must be the heatwave that’s brought them on! 29 degrees today, but a strong breeze has made the heat more bearable.

Spotted these berries on the first of my two visits to the docs today: morning visit for blood tests, afternoon visit for minor surgery. Nothing to worry about, except that after sticking what felt like a hundred needles in me this afternoon, the doc had to abort the surgery as one of his machines had packed up, and no matter what they did, they couldn’t get the thing working. So I came home intact, but feeling rather numb round the edges...
