Peregrinhos
This is what this place all about for many people.
I had a view over Praza do Obradoiro, the Cathedral square at breakfast and watched these and other pilgrims arriving after completing their Camino or Way to Santiago. What joy they must feel.
We did our tour of this historic property after breakfast and apparently the first 10 pilgrims to arrive with their certificates each day will be given free breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. There's an incentive for you!
Took coffee in the courtyard and then headed to the Cathedral. Of course we should have gone earlier as there was a queue. We were told this was because it was Midday Mass but they let us in any way. It was coming to an end but we were all invited in English to take communion if we wished so we did.
Very welcoming.
Found a lovely square outdoors for lunch and then spent the rest of the day exploring the twisty narrow streets of the Centro Historico. Lots of balconied houses in Galician style.
It's a beautiful evening so we think we will head out again for dinner. May take a look at the match which is on in one of the lounges first.
Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes yesterday.
