RHS Hampton Court Flower Show
This morning Jenni and I went to the flower show at Hampton Court - Adam had a dentist appointment in Cambridge as he is in the middle of a treatment plan so unfortunately it meant going all the way there for the treatment.
The traffic was just awful - Hampton Court is about 20 minutes from where we live but it took us an hour to get there and another hour to find parking (as the field allocated for parking cars said 'full' so I got stuck in traffic trying to find another spot only to come back to the same field which was now admitting cars again). However, once we were there it was lovely - so many beautiful flowers to see and clever floral displays. As is usual at such events drinks and food were pricey and a bit mediocre. However we really enjoyed seeing everything, and there was quite a wind to cool down the heat of the day. I did not buy any plants but bought some turmeric drink powder which was rather tasty. When we came out again I had a blonde moment and could not remember where in the huge field I had parked my car, so we had to search up and down the rows of parked cars!
We popped in to Kingston on the way home, I had to collect something from the tailor and Jenni went to the bank. We are now home again but I have to get ready to join Gavin in London for a drinks function.
