Iron man

Sis and I are in Liverpool on a jaunt to see the Terracotta Army at the Museum. Instead of just coming for the day we headed over after work and are doing an overnight in the city centre. I had been desperate for yonks to see Antony Gormley’s Iron Men on Crosby beach, so after dumping our stuff in the hotel, having a cuppa and taking a deep breath we headed over to Crosby. I had heard that they look great with the sunset so we stayed :-). They really are awesome to see spread across the great expanse of beach. Quite eerie in some ways and all quite alone yet because there are many of them they are not alone. It’s great to see free art for everyone to enjoy in this amazing city. Part of me wishes I had been walking as we drove past some derelict mills and warehouses along the dockside.
