What a day!

Backblip

What a full day, with so many things happening. The morning service was our Schools Celebration Service and the church school brought their choir, the Reception children also came to sing. They did so well. It was also our welcome to our new Curate on her first Sunday, so there was a lot going on. Approx 140 adults and 50 children. 

After the service we had our Family Fun Day, with some games on the field. Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun! The temperature was high so we took it gently, no races but some team games. 40 took part in the games, all ages, and about another 30 watched or were stewards. The only difficulty was that some of our equipment melted in the heat and we had to change the games. A successful day though, even with the heat.

The day finished with a lovely and peaceful Evensong.
