In the way

I'm back in Moscow for a few weeks. An early impression is the seemingly unrelenting expansion of the city.  Houses like these near to the village of Shukolovo (pop. 20) (yes, twenty souls), a staple of the Russian countryside, are quite literally being pushed out to make way for widening highways.
