Bright lights
Another early morning - although to be fair the jet lag has been very modest this time. After a quick breakfast, we headed across town to the Pentlands, and did a fairly short, but adequate, walk. Enough to experience a bit of countryside, although we were both mightily annoyed by the presence of ned-ish elements camping (and lighting fires) on the shores of Harlaw Reservoir. We met a man with a dog who is obviously one of the many volunteers who help to keep this beautiful place as lovely as it is. He told us about some near misses with fires recently, that had taken hold underground on the roots of trees. Luckily nothing major. Fingers crossed.
Back here, we pimped up the kitchen a wee bit, in time for the arrival of young Angus the kitchen designer, come to see what his design looked like in the flesh now it was finished. He was pleased, and of course so are we!
We spent the afternoon mainly lolling on the sofa, listening to music, although to be fair Mr A was cooking as well, as we had invited our upstairs neighbour V for dinner. That was fun - although overall too much alcohol was consumed. Hence the backblip.
