Mono Monday.......PATIENCE

We had a visitor from Germany today.
Yesterday evening he arrived, inspected our balcony and this morning he came back...
He seemed to be very thirsty and starving, so we treated him well with oatmeal and fresh water, please see extras.
Fortunately he was ringed and I made a picture with the zoom lens so I could read the telephone number of the owner.
It turned out he was from Hilden in Germany, some 60 km from here.
After we had called the owner an arrangement was made that his son, who happened to work close to our place (how is it possible??) would pick up him this evening to take him safely back home.
The whole dag he waited patiently and even walked inside for a moment, he made our day to take care of him, he was such a lovely pigeon.
