A last look at the art school

Today they start to dismantle Glasgow School of Art so I decided to go for a nostalgic last look at this unique building where I spent my student years. It’s difficult to get close but I was able to get as far as the fenced off area at the top of Renfrew Street. It's such a sad sight.

I watched the drone footage on the internet the other day and it’s obvious that the damage is very, very severe and that the building is structurally dangerous. I do feel sorry for residents out of their homes for months and owners of businesses who will be in financial difficulties as the result of the fire.

I started blipping in June 2014 and only post two or three times a week so it's taken a long time to get to 730, but I do enjoy looking at other blippers' journals, especially if they make me laugh and I've met some nice people along the way.
