One legged Magpie

We've not seen or heard magpies in our neighbourhood before, but in the past few months a group have moved in and are regularly in our garden. I love the atmospheric sound they make as if singing with reverb. A very distinct and unique sound.

This morning this magpie who's been around before was sitting on the fence - s/he does so well because s/he's only got one leg, and is well know across Kapiti. Seems to take off, land and hop around perfectly fine.
