Today Mr Mercury reached 94* with 40% humidity and the forecast for the foreseeable future is the same. So of course an emergency call to our HVAC repairman was necessary. “Doesn’t sound good” he said on the phone. And it’s not. New compressor or new furnace and air conditioner? Hmmm...no straightforward answer given the variables. Wonderful of Frank to come on short notice and refuse payment for the two hour call, which included crawling on his stomach in the old 2 foot high crawl space.

Did I mention that the HVAC system had to be replaced in a subzero snowstorm several years ago when the furnace died?

Timing is everything...
