The Ding Dongs

What a busy day!
We said goodbye to Margaret early this morning (D took her into Cambridge to get a coach back to Carlisle) then the girls arrived for a practice of our routine for Hendstock. It's been another very hot day, too hot to sit in the garden. I keep diving in and out, reading for a bit then coming inside to cool down. Reading The Wildflowers which I'm really enjoying.
Then at 5.30, the Ding Dong Belles came here to warm up for a little gig we were doing in the church to finish the scarecrow weekend. It was a lovely service and really nice to sing lots of well known hymns as part of a congregation. 
D is barbecuing tonight and it's so lovely to still have all the doors open and listen to the church bells.
