Teachmeet GeographyIcons

Well, another very busy day. Up early, and checked out after breakfast, then to New Street and train to University. It was Open Day for prospective students so trains and campus were very busy. Walked round to the Chaplaincy where the Teachmeet GeographyIcons event was setting up.
I helped set up, sort chairs, help welcome some of the 200+ delegates we were expecting. Then after a brief introduction, I had the keynote to give for an hour, which was privilege. After some short presentations, I had lunch with a colleague: delicious cheeseburger sat in the sun, and then it was back for an academic keynote which I really enjoyed. 
At the end of the day, I helped to tidy up, and then it was  out to get the train home - a nice quiet and prompt journey, and picked up by my wife in the evening. And relax...
