Trying out new kayak

I feel far more safe, safe enough to leave kids on dry land (with carer) and that I’ll make it back safely. Never felt like that with the blow up so only ever went in it once and felt the risk was too great, that I'd be leaving my boys parentless just for a going off in a rubber dingy and never coming back due to some unforeseen water event.
