Golden Barley

It looks as if this field's about ready for harvest now. 

There was a distant rumble of thunder this morning and we had a good drop of rain too. The head gardener says we need it but I was pleased to see the weather clear a bit this afternoon and leave us with some distinct clouds rather than the wall to wall blue sky that we've had for a while. 

I didn't have to go too far, this is just up the road and round the corner and I used my fisheye lens to get a lot of landscape into the frame.

As usual with this lens, the exif data is wrong, it's an 8mm lens and the exposure is 1/450s at f8 ISO 200.
