Backblip
It seemed strange to be walking between high walls of snow in June but it was “unseasonable weather” according to signs in Whistler where the 2010 Winter Olympics were held. The temperature on the mountains was well below freezing with frequent blizzards preventing us from seeing the spectacular landscape all around. As we descended by a very cold chairlift from "7th Heaven" (2173m or 7011ft) with the snow covering us making us look like snowmen, we wondered how the skiers managed to see their way down between the flags and even one of the local cable car workers thought they were foolish. Despite the lack of views it really was an enjoyable day for us and even more so for two Australians with us in the cable car, as they had never seen snow falling
