Hot Dog

We took Merlin out for a walk at 9am but even by then it was very warm and he was soon panting and sitting down in the shade to cool off whilst he waited for us to catch up with him.  The past few weeks, Andy has been taking him to the stream in the village at the end of his walk to cool off.  He goes straight in and lies down on his tummy and drinks the water, then he likes to play with the pebbles in the water, pawing them and pushing them around.  Here he is this morning, after his initial lie down in the water.  He is still panting but by the time we left he was fine and came home to drip water all over the floor!
