Historic gateway

This is the original entrance to Bannockburn House which was built in 1675 and is one of Scotland's most significant historic buildings with links to the Jacobites and Bonnie Prince Charlie. I had a quick visit with my cousin who is one of the volunteers with the community trust that successfully purchased the house, its grounds and doocot last year and has great plans for its future, She is leading on the garden restoration and took me there to see some of the unusual plants in the grounds. I'm south for a few days to catch up with my mum.
