Le Jardin des Senteurs

This is back blipped to yesterday and is a picture of the old house opposite where we staying in Chanaz that is being used by an artisan perfumerer and soap maker. The scents of these hand made products are wonderful and the shop is inside a cave and is beautifully decorated.

This small area of hillside alleys in the mediaeval quarter has been transformed into a crafts/local food and drinks centre with the old houses restored and renovated into galleries. See extra.

The weather was unbearably hot yesterday and our car journey up to Beaune in Burgundy was unpleasant with temperatures at 35C. We were glad to arrive at our next stop for a few days in Savigny les Beaune where we are staying at a chambre d'hote at a wine producer in the main square. Car now parked up and will not be used again until Tuesday for the last stop of our sejour in France.
