here's the end of the day today. slightly before sunset, in honolulu. yesterday's journey to get here combined with the jet lag caught up quick today, though i really had no wild plan for today anyway.

walked along waikiki, allowed my skin to feel sunshine again (it's been too long), picked up some ideas for things to do in the coming days, and all around just enjoyed. dad is thrilled too being here - for him it's all about the sun.

lying on the beach in the afternoon during the super bowl was fun - you could pretty well determine the direction the game was headed depending on which pocket of people were screaming. as the extended cheers were entering my left ear towards the end, it was safe to assume pittsburgh had won - congrats steelers.
