Malia Island Sunrise
I was up at 5am to capture the sunrise over Malia Island, Crete, which houses the Church of The Transfiguration. Driving through Malia town at 5.30am was an experience. Hundreds of drunken revellers, noise and litter, from the many nightclubs and bars. Horrendous.
In contrast, watching the sunrise was peaceful and enjoyable. The best was after the sun had lifted from the horizon clouds. The blipfoto shows the church and a couple of revellers bathing. A lovely last photo from Crete. Taken in Fuji Velvia and processed in Fuji Velvia film 50 preset.
