This is Jonnie
I never seem to have the right things when I need them. Feeling slightly lazy, out in the daytime, still snow around so lots of light, my standard lens will do just fine I think to myself. But no, having lunch in a nice little dark-ish Italian place - even having the shutter speed at 1/30 s wasn't enough, any slower and I'm just not steady enough. Didn't want to use a flash as it's not very nice in a small place.
Hence this shot.
There are other shots of the day, but I am determined to limit myself to as few sky shots as possible. And I quite liked this, if only I didn't shake so much. And this just serves as a reminder to:
1. Get a tripod (a recurring theme and grievance). Honestly, I still don't know why I haven't. Any recommendations for something I can carry with me anywhere? Was looking at the Gorillapod thing - but then I would have to buy two if I wanted a proper one.
2. Carry high aperture lens everywhere.
3. There was a third. I have forgotten it. Not a great reminder at all apparently.
<Sorry to use you as a reminder Jonnie - I will make it up to you with a better photo soon.>
To make this slightly more interesting - the food was good, they spelt spaghetti with a 'y', the wall had a boot shaped hole in, and the tv played the strangest Italian music videos. Thus explains the slight grimace on my subjects face.
