Finding the way out

The pressure was on as I was leading today’s walk for our walking group. I hadn’t bargained on the heat although I knew we were going to have to cross this field which was high in grasses. At least it was better than the last time when I came 10 days’ ago to do a recee and there was no discernible path. The route follows old paths, bridleways and across fields and is the first stage of the Devonshire Heartland Way from Okehampton to Sampford Courtenay. We went the wrong way a couple of times but I think people are up for part 2 in a couple of weeks, time will tell.
