Evening walk

The sun sets at 10:43 PM and rises at 3:35 AM, so lots of light. This afternoon 
I was at a friend's birthday celebration. It was held in a delightful setting at an old school. Wild flowers adorned the tables, children played, we all ate and sang. Her family is musically gifted, the singing was powerful! I had opted to leave my camera behind, and forgot my phone. It was a struggle at first to accept that was not going to take any pictures there...so many good targets!
Between the World Cup games I walked a bit near the lake here. It was still windy and cold, but the sun popped out. I find myself smiling as I walk.
