Old Moor RSPB Reserve

Today was a camera club outing to Old Moor in the Dearne Valley.  There were seven of us in total, so a good number.  We did split into smaller groups as we walked around.  For me it was the least gratifying of my recent natural history excursions, but I did come away with a few damsel and dragonfly photos - see extra.
I’d dropped Ann off at church as they were going on their Annual excursion to Crowland Abbey, so I decided to visit Denaby Ings as I had a bit of time and for the second time in two days I photographed Banded Demoiselles.
We had a real mix up at the end of the afternoon about the time Ann would need collecting from Edlington.  I was there and the coach was still in Grantham!  But that’s another story.  Geoffrey brought her home in the end.
