Aaaannddd Relax

Set off from home before 9 a.m. and met up with daughter, granddaughter and our son for coffee at Castleford. We left at 11a.m. and very shortly hit our first traffic jam which I was able to get around by using back roads.

Three more jams on the M1 and A34 on the way, three pit stops and a visit to my mother in Basingstoke and we finally arrived at our hotel for the night in Southampton at 7 p.m.

Temperatures hit 29 deg - and with no air conditioning in the car we are absolute shattered.

Had the foresight to pack a bottle of wine and some glasses…. off for tea soon.
