Dark Buildings

Somedays one photo is enough. That'll do, you triumphantly think. Or at least, you know that nothing better is going to come along without some effort. And effort is better expended elsewhere at times, is it not?
Anyway today, the Ypres thing kicked off in my book with the battle of Messines in 1917. The one that started with the detonation of 19 mines - I've never read Birdsong but must give it a bash. Or a read, even. Talking of a bash, poor old Wiggo. What was he doing cycling in the dark though? Surely he's got enough dosh to get a cab. A lesson for him then!
