Goodbye June.
Another hot day - keep them coming! A bit of garden-hacking in the cool of the morning, and skulking in the workroom later. Now Douggie and I are relaxing on the sofa. I have a glass of chilled white.
Tropaelium speciosum, appropriate for the last day of a flaming June, is just getting going, growing over the hideous hedge that we inherited here. This year I'm hoping for total coverage. Unlikely, but it's making a good start. Its common or garden name is the Scotch Flame Flower. Apparently it likes the cool conditions here .........
